FORT WORTH, TX, UNITED STATES, August 28, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Hankins Energy Partners today announced its formal launch and expansion into the U.S. oil and gas industry, establishing a strategic presence in Texas as the company begins building relationships and pursuing opportunities across key areas of the U.S. energy sector.

A wholly owned company of Hankins Holdings LLC, Hankins Energy Partners was formed to acquire, manage, and develop opportunities involving mineral rights, land rights, oil and gas leases, royalty interests, and other energy assets, with a strategic focus on opportunities across the upstream and midstream sectors.

The company enters the market with a long-term strategy centered on disciplined growth, strong industry relationships, careful evaluation of opportunities and responsible management of energy assets.

“Texas has long been at the center of American energy, and we believe there is tremendous opportunity ahead,” said Cory L. Hankins, Managing Partner and CEO of Hankins Energy Partners. “We aren’t building Hankins Energy Partners around a single transaction or a short-term cycle. We are building a company that we expect to grow deliberately for decades.”

Building an Energy Company

Hankins Energy Partners will initially focus on opportunities involving mineral and land rights, oil and gas leasing, royalties and other assets throughout established producing regions. Its broader strategy includes upstream and midstream opportunities, creating a foundation from which HEP can expand its capabilities and portfolio.

Fort Worth provides HEP with a strategic presence in one of America’s most established energy communities and a base for developing relationships and pursuing opportunities throughout Texas, including the Permian Basin.

“Our approach is straightforward: understand the asset, understand the economics, understand the people and understand the risk,” Hankins said. “We intend to be deliberate about where we go and how we grow.”

Leadership Built Around Operations, Finance and Strategy

Hankins Energy Partners is led by a team bringing together experience in business operations, financial management and strategic analysis.

Cory L. Hankins, Managing Partner and CEO, leads the company’s overall strategy, business development, acquisitions and long-term direction.

Danny E. Medlin Jr., Chief Financial Officer, oversees financial strategy, reporting, financial controls and the fiscal disciplines supporting the company’s growth.

Caleb N. Ross, Finance & Strategy, supports financial analysis, data accuracy, compliance, strategic planning and the evaluation of opportunities and assets.

“Good decisions begin with good information,” Hankins said. “That means understanding the numbers, asking the right questions and surrounding yourself with people who bring different strengths and perspectives to the table.”

Energy Built for the Long Game

HEP’s immediate priorities include establishing its opportunity pipeline, developing relationships throughout the Texas oil and gas community, evaluating mineral, land and lease opportunities, and building the professional infrastructure necessary for future growth.

The company is developing relationships with land professionals, operators, attorneys, financial institutions, and other industry participants. Over time, HEP intends to broaden its portfolio and geographic reach while evaluating opportunities across mineral rights, land and leasing, upstream operations and midstream infrastructure.

“We do things for the long game,” Hankins said. “That means we don’t measure success by what happens next week or next quarter. We look at where we want to be five, ten and twenty years from now, and then make decisions today that can help us get there.”

Backed by Hankins Holdings

Hankins Energy Partners is wholly owned by Hankins Holdings LLC, a privately held parent company overseeing a diversified portfolio of operating businesses.

For more than two decades, Hankins Holdings and its affiliated companies have built and operated businesses with an emphasis on long-term growth, disciplined management, customer relationships and enduring enterprise value.

“Longevity is built through relationships,” Hankins said. “That philosophy has been at the heart of how we’ve done business for more than two decades. Markets change, industries evolve, and opportunities come and go, but strong relationships endure. We intend to bring that same philosophy to Hankins Energy Partners.”

The formation of HEP represents the next chapter in the evolution of Hankins Holdings, extending the organization into the American energy industry while maintaining the principles that have guided its businesses for more than two decades.

“The industries may be different, but the principles behind building a successful company don’t change,” Hankins said. “You surround yourself with talented people, understand the business, remain disciplined and build for tomorrow rather than simply for today.”

Looking Ahead

Hankins Energy Partners will remain focused on building relationships, identifying the right opportunities and developing the infrastructure necessary to support responsible growth. Texas will play a central role in that future, while the company remains open to opportunities in other established U.S. energy markets.

“Our vision isn’t to simply participate in the energy business,” Hankins said. “It’s to build a company with staying power—one that develops meaningful relationships, makes disciplined decisions and creates something that will still matter decades from now.”
